How to visit Disneyland Paris in 1 day? I went to Disney Paris 4 times when I was still a teenager and later when I was older. With age, we do not visit Disney in the same way. Here you will find all you need to know: our advice, the best time to visit Disneyland Paris, and how long the visit will take. Let’s go!

1. How to prepare for your visit to Disneyland Paris and enjoy it?

Here is some crucial information for visiting Disneyland Paris.

1.1. How to get to Disneyland from Paris?

You have 3 solutions to visit Disneyland Paris in 1 day or more: take the RER A, the TGV from CDG airport, or go there by car.

RER A. We all know that the RER A is not the most pleasant transport in Paris. But going to Disneyland is convenient. The RER exit is close to the entrance to the park; it’s well done. In addition, in the morning, even on weekdays, the RER towards this direction, from Paris outwards, is not crowded. Same in the evening. Management: Marne La Vallée. Stop: Marne La Vallée–Chessy. If you have the Navigo card, it’s all good because it is included. Otherwise, you must take a 5-zone ticket.

TGV from CDG airport. If you visit Disneyland Paris in 1 day, you may come by plane to Paris. It is possible to go directly from CDG airport to Disneyland Paris by TGV (high-speed train) without going through Paris. Look for timetables on the SNCF website. Otherwise, it is also possible to book a taxi.

Taxi. It is also possible to get there by taxi from Paris. It takes about 40 minutes and 70€ to get to Disneyland from Paris.

Parking. Disneyland Paris car parks are chargeable: about 30 euros/car. So, it is also possible to avoid paying for parking, but it’s more hassle. The trick would be to go to the parking lot of the Val d’Europe shopping center, then take the RER A for one station… Indeed, you will save money but waste time and energy. In the end, less time to enjoy the place. It’s my point of view.

1.2. Where to buy skip-the-line tickets for Disneyland Paris?

There are thousands of places where you can buy Disneyland Paris tickets.
For example, you can go through this platform to buy your day ticket to Disneyland Paris. You can take adult and child tickets by indicating the age before booking. It’s a good deal to visit Disneyland Paris.

Find the tickets for 1 day or more here, or go to the official Disneyland website.

1.3. Tips for visiting Disneyland Paris in 1 day

Map of Disneyland Paris. Take a look at the official Disneyland website to prepare for your visit: see the interactive map. It will allow you to better orient yourself on D-Day and save time there. What interests you, if you come to visit Disneyland Paris in 1 day, is the part on the left: the Disney Park (the main, the oldest) and the Walt Disney Studios Park (the “new”).

Official mobile app. To find your way around even better, but this time on-site, consider the official Disneyland Paris mobile application. The advantage? You can see attraction wait times in real-time! But also calculate travel times between attractions. Super handy for saving time. And it’s free.

Good to know. The primary and oldest park is more made for the little ones, while the Walt Disney Studios Park will interest the older ones more. However, there is something for everyone in both parks. Prepare a short itinerary for these two parks. To save time, do one park first, then the second.

2. How long does it take to visit Disneyland Paris?

You can spend the whole day there, from the opening till closing. There will be plenty to do. But it all depends on your stamina. 🙂 Because it’s pretty exhausting all the same. It is for this reason that I advise you to prepare for your visit in advance.

6-7 hours is the maximum to enjoy the most. If you do more, it will be necessary to plan real moments of calm breaks.

How long does it take to visit Disneyland Paris if you come by RER from Paris? Add at least 2 hours, 2 hours 30 more.

3. When is the best time to visit Disneyland Paris?

Here is a ranking of the best time to visit Disneyland Paris to the worst time:

  1. The best time to visit Disneyland Paris is on weekdays, avoiding Wednesdays if possible. Because it is evident during the week that Disneyland Paris is quieter, and you can enjoy the attractions with less waiting and in a more relaxed way.
  2. The 2nd best time is the weekends in January, February, April, and November, excluding school holidays.
  3. Outside these periods, there are many more people at Disneyland, and the visit is less pleasant.

Unfortunately, but nothing surprising: school holidays are the worst time to visit Disneyland Paris. At least you know it and are ready.

Good to know! There are fewer people in the evening, 2-3 hours before closing, than in the morning. Every time I went, it was quieter, which wasn’t surprising either since there were a lot of kids. But it’s good to know because the show and the fireworks are fantastic!

Visiting Disneyland Paris in 1 day is entirely possible, but you have to choose the attractions you want to do in advance because you won’t be able to do everything. Try to avoid school holidays. And if that’s not possible, prepare your visit more: choose what you want to do and imagine an itinerary or a small plan for the day. Even if it changes, you will save time in the park in hesitation or orientation.

We wish you a great visit! And if you go to Paris, you can also take the opportunity to visit unusual things in Paris.

We once heard visitors in Paris saying that the French are not the most welcoming people. It made us sad. That's why we started this blog! So you can get the best information for your travel to France! Of course, we love Paris. We have lived in multiple areas, from Canal St Martin to right next to the Eiffel Tower. We also explore regions of France whenever we can. Our favorites for a weekend away from Paris are Etretat and Mont Saint Michel. The beautiful French Riviera is a marvelous place to explore for a week.
